Dates/Venues announced – The Mikado 2016 – Co-production with Scottish Opera

Dates & Vneues announced – Our new co-production of The Mikado, with Scottish Opera, will open in Glasgow next May. The dates and venues are as follows:-

Glasgow – Theatre Royal – 5th to 14th May
Inverness – Eden Court Theatre – 19th to 21st May
Aberdeen – His Majesty’s Theatre – 26th to 28th May
Edinburgh – Festival Theatre – 1st to 5th June
Belfast – Grand Opera House – 9th to 11th June
Newcastle – Theatre Royal – 15th to 18th June
Bristol – Hippodrome – 22nd to 25th June
Southmapton – Mayflower Theatre – 29th June to 2nd July
We have assembled many of the creative team from The Pirates of Penzance for this production. The opera will be directed by Martin Lloyd-Evans, designed by Dick Bird, and choreographed by Steve Elias. The cast will feature long time D’Oyly Carte regular, Richard Suart as Ko-Ko, Nicholas Sharratt as Nanki-Poo, Rebecca Bottone as Yum-Yum, Stephen Richardson as The Mikado, and comic genius Andrew Shore as Pooh-Bah.
Box Office’s are now open for bookings so please book early to ge you best seats on the date you want.
*It hasn’t been possible to organise a London venue for 2016 owing to the costs involved and the lack of an suitable and available venue. It is our dearest wish to bring the production to London, and other regional theatres, as soon as is possible.
