The Pirates of Penzance tour comes to a close in Cardiff…

On Saturday 20th July, the curtain came down at the Millennium Centre in Cardiff, on our final performance of The Pirates of Penzance and our 2013 tour. It was a short tour and we were sad not to be able to visit venues which have been so supportive to us in the past. The production was a collaborative exercise with our partners Scottish Opera and we are grateful to them for all their help, and expertise, in mounting the production within a new framework. There is much to be learned from our initial project, and we are hopeful that we will be able to follow-up this tour with additional projects in the not too distant future.

The Pirates of Penzance (2013) was received with universal critical acclaim, and a plethora of five and four star reviews.

To all those who came to see us, at venues around the UK, we thank you enormously for your support, and for your enthusiasm. Our facebook page (www.facebook.com/pages/DOyly-Carte-Opera-Trust) has been followed by a large number of supporters, and we appreciate all of your feedback by this method.

Watch this space for news of any future ventures, and we hope to see you again very soon.
