D’Oyly Carte Music Hire Library has moved to Glasgow
The D’Oyly Carte Music Hire Library will now be managed by Scottish Opera in Glasgow.
In recent weeks we have packaged up all the contents of the library into 86 creates and transported them to Glasgow. Scottish Opera has its own library which is expertly managed by Gordon Grant, who works full-time as Librarian. This will secure the future of the library in a safe and stable location ensuring that the D’Oyly Carte orchestral parts can be hired by amateur societies, educational organizations, and other groups, throughout the UK and Europe.
We are delighted that this co-operation between DC and SO will continue to support our joint efforts to bring professional full-scale productions to the stage nationwide, (once we are able to return to the theatres we love and miss terribly).
