The Mikado 2016 was a huge success

Performances of our co-production of The Mikado, with Scottish Opera ended on 2nd July in Southampton. Across the Scottish venues and the English and Northern Irish venues the attendance figures far exceeded the attendance for our co-production of The Pirates of Penzance, in 2013. We are delighted with this improvement as it shows us that our audience approves of what we’re doing and that they are enjoying our collaboration with Scottish Opera as much as we are.

We have had some feedback from supporters expressing frustration that we have not given any performances in London for either The Pirates of Penzance or The Mikado. We share your frustration entirely. We have not been able to schedule performances in London for either production for a variety of reasons, but primarily financial. It is our fondest wish to be able to mount a London season and we are working toward this as hard as we can. Any news regarding future performances will, of course, be posted here, as well as on our facebook page…
