This is the official Home Page of the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company based in London. Founded by Richard D'Oyly Carte in the 1870s. The Company has been performing the operas of Gilbert and Sullivan for 130 years.

D'Oyly Carte Opera Company has no immediate plans for performances in the near future, although it is hoped that some projects, which may involve performances on some scale, may come into effect at some point soon.

D'Oyly Carte Opera Company continues to operate a busy Music Hire Library, which supplies the orchestral parts for all Gilbert and Sullivan operas to professionals, amateur societies, festivals and educational bodies.

The D'Oyly Carte Archive maintains an important collection of materials relevant to the performing company and Gilbert and Sullivan going back to 1875. The archive is accessible to those with an interest at a small cost and by private arrangement.
